Summer is well upon us (multiple record-breaking heat waves, anyone?) and we’re loving savory applications and accompaniments for all the delicious fruits. I’m trying to keep things simple but do a decent variety. Frankly due to various circumstances a lot of meals were canceled this month and became DIY leftovers nights. But the days are starting to get just a little shorter and we’re officially halfway through the year and headed for cooler weather, Lord willing. Who knew the upper 90s could feel reasonable?
In other news, I got some starter (made with the Wheat Montana David can eat) from a friend and am officially making sourdough now! My one attempt thus far was so-so, but my second try is on its second cold ferment day.
